We would like to inform you about our preparations to comply with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR, Regulation (EU) 2023/1115), which was initially planned to be applicable for medium and large companies from 30 December 2025.
Regardless of whether the regulation is postponed we are fully committed to start exchanging necessary data as soon as possbile.

Our Role and Obligations

As a printing house, we are required to:

  • identify and record our direct suppliers and direct customers of EUDR-covered products;
  • receive, store and pass on the DDS Reference Numbers (RN) and Verification Keys (if provided) from our paper suppliers;
  • keep this information for at least five years to ensure full traceability.

We currently do not import paper or other EUDR-covered raw materials from outside the EU, and do not place or sell products on the EU market under our own name.

Under the EUDR, this means we are considered a trader rather than an operator.
As a trader, we are not required to conduct due diligence or submit Due Diligence Statements (DDS) to the EU TRACES system ourselves.

Our Actions

To meet these obligations and support our customers in their own EUDR compliance, we are:

  • working closely with our paper suppliers (who act as the operators) to obtain the required DDS Reference Numbers;
  • developing, together with our MIS system provider, an automated solution to store and forward this data accurately;
  • planning to include the DDS Reference Number (and Verification Key if provided) on our invoices or delivery documents for all relevant products as soon as we are able to get data from paper suppliers.

We are fully committed to ensuring that the materials we use are deforestation-free, legally sourced, and traceable, and to supporting our customers in building a transparent and sustainable supply chain in line with EUDR requirements.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss our EUDR preparations in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
K-Print OÜ
